Seattle Hunt Log 4 (please remember *sentence* means menatl conversation)
Raven rummaged through the pile of discarded clothing from the mates of the bridge. All now content in the new place she set up for them. Heavy hearted she dressed in the rag, never could she fulfill her promise to them, her birth home now dry and dead as the road that she traveled. One with the air she made her self, the magic coursing through her and moved through the city from sight line to sight line making her way to the ex Coamerica building now called the Promise land. The flow of people came and went and her mind noted what types of travel they used and which way.
The building now called the Promised Land was once the corporate headquarters of a major Japanese Import company that when bust back during the Asia Rim Market crash. The neighborhood around it had deteriorated in quick order and all of the immediate eight block centering on the building have been acquired and demolished. The demolished area has been used to build a large number of single story buildings not unlike military barracks. The grounds were neat, well groomed but not a stir. No vehicles were allowed on the streets of the area save Church vehicles and emergency services. There were hundreds of people in the area, some obviously homeless, some obviously attached in some way to the Church itself. Those all wear white robes with a purple cross on the chest. There were no walls or fences, people came and went freely.
Raven ducked behind a corner and became one with the eye. The tiny frame of five feet nothing in the old tattered used clothes, wandered onto the street and walked down the walk. Those in Church livery stopped occasionally and offer aid to passersby but question no one beyond a simple “May I help you.” The female with pitch-black hair just shrugged and headed to the big building in the center in a round about way.
The Promised Land was thirty stories of chrome and glass with an illuminated cross over the main doors. As she wandered the area she picked up a general feeling of well being in those passing by. To the rear of the building was a loading dock, large enough to handle ten trucks at one time.
Raven wandered closer to the truck. At that moment, two trucks are backed up to the loading dock; both were from Office Max. There didn’t seem to be anyone “on guard” and two men in Office Max shirts were unloading a desk. The homeless were all headed for the main entrance and were going in, but at the front only. A truck pulled up to the other side of the building and passed out of Raven’s sight. She followed the truck. The truck stopped and two men, one older and black, the other a kid and white. On the side of the truck was a Safeway logo. They climb out of the truck, the older going to a double doors and banging on it, the young one going to the back of the truck and opening the door.
Raven moved closer leaning against the building The double doors opened and an older woman looked out. “Hey, Joe, we’ve been waiting for you.”
Joe said “Sorry we’re late, traffic was murder.” The woman said “Glad you finally made it, we got a lot of people to feed. I’ll get some help for you.” and disappeared back into the building, leaving the door open. Joe headed for the truck and began helping the boy stack cartons on a dolly. The food is basics, rice, potatoes, chickens, turkeys, fruits and veggies.
Raven inched closer, than slipped into the door and looked around. The room inside the doors was a kitchen area; currently it was as busy as any school cafeteria. Twelve people bustle around preparing food. The room in almost chaos, and it didn’t help when the woman returned with ten people still dressed in the clothing of the homeless. To the left was a huge walk-in freezer and refrigerator. There were two sets of swinging doors directly across the room from the service entrance. To the right was a single door, unmarked. There were no windows. Everything was stainless steel and white tile.
Raven opened the unmarked door and peeked in, Dry good storage. She moved to the double doors and looked out to that room.
The door was pushed open from the other side by a man with an arm full, almost knocking her over. He opened the door with his ass and muttered “sorry”.
The woman disappeared into the storeroom Raven went out the swinging doors. She stepped out behind the serving line of a cafeteria. The room was huge with trestle tables to seat hundreds. Currently, there was a line of homeless filing by with rapidly filling trays. Raven moved out to the main room. There were well over a hundred seated at the tables and ten people are behind the serving line, dishing out food and drink. There are twenty tables, each seating 16… There aren’t any doors but there are two corridors leading toward the front of the building. One ran along the far wall, the other down the middle of the building.
Following the wall into a corridor, she ended up in the main foyer of the building, the area if filled with people waiting in line. One line was cued up in front of a set of doors only a few yards away. These people are all dressed poorly. There were two women in the robes of the church beside the door. Twenty yards from her, was another line disappearing into another set of doors.
Walking she took the next corridor. This one has an alcove in front of a bank of three elevators. Two seem to be normal but the third has a card key and number pad. Raven pushed button for the elevator.
A man’s voice stopped her, “May I be of assistance?” The man was dressed in robes and a broad smile graced his lips.
Raven shrugged
The man stepped over to her, “I am afraid you are not allowed upstairs. May I return you to the dinning room?”
Raven shook her head no, frowning.
The elevator arrived, her eyes looked in the normal looking box.
“If you would tell me what you need, perhaps I can help”
Raven pointed up, than shrugged.
The man shook his head “No.. I am sorry, those are the admin areas of the Church” The man looked at her with concern “Little sister…are you mute? Do you need a doctor?”
Shaking her head no she turned away from him.
The man shrugged, following her for a short distance, till she entered the Ladies room. The room stood empty and she opened her mind letting her body become one with the air. She made her way back to the elevators, unseen in her new state.
Checking the stair well door, she found it unlock but with a guard standing at it. She pressed the call button again. The guard held position, so into the box she went. The doors opened into a foyer, directly across form the doors was a receptionist desk. The whole floor was a bustling office…with cubicles. Hugging the wall she began to explore the floor. Only a copier room of interest, but no file room. At the stairs was another guard. Back to the elevator she pressed the call and waited.
Elevator arrived. She entered pressing every button, noting the keys didn’t include the top two floors. The doors open on three, more offices, everything looked new…there were security cameras pointed at the elevator. Also as the door opened two tough looking thugs in jumpsuits turn to face the doors, AK-74’s at the ready. Ducking down she moved off the elevator.
One pulled a radio from his belt. “looks like the elevator 1s fucking up again”
A voice reacted, “Please watch your language in the House of the Lord.”
The elevator closed and continued its journey. This floor was not an open bay type but a series of offices. Being quiet as a mouse she began her search again. Catching a glimpse of a guard at this floor stairwell, she pulled back to the wall. She slipped into the office, It was brand new…..nothing had been used…nothing was in the desk or cabinets.
There were security cameras covering every hall, computers on every desk…. the plastic still covered the furniture….bits of Styrofoam packing was scattered everywhere… Five men were the only things interesting in this stark area. *Why do they need so many to cover an empty office* she thought. *A guard at each of three stairwells and the two at the elevator… ALL are armed.*
Raven opened her mind to the isolated guard at the stairwell door. Reaching in she touched his mind, in a whisper, “Open the stiarwell door, you hear something.”
The man opened the door and looking around. He steped into the stariwell and peered down the stairs. Raven slipped passed him. Satisfied, he turned back and closed the door behind him.
Up she climbed to the 29 floor. The climb went unobstructed to the 29th floor, no cameras to be seen. The fire door stood lock to her touch. Blocked by the door not willing to go back down she become one to the eye and raised her hand to knock. Something grabbed her hand as she went to knock.
Ghost Archer appeared beside her. He whispered. “What are you doing?”
Raven whispered back, “I was about to gain entry but now you are here. You can help.”
Ghost Archer raised an eyebrow “Gain entry?”
“I need pass the door.” Raven smiled up into his green eyes, “I need proof beloved. I need information.”
“Here…let’s look…” Ghost Archer slipped an arm around her tiny waist, “Invisible, love…” Raven smiled brightly as she faded going one with the air. Archer desolidified with her, stepping through the door, and the guy guarding it.
The room was a TV control room, filled with technicians preparing to a telecast, it appeared. There was a Grass valley switcher on the front wall over looking the auditorium. Twenty-five yards across the huge room was a stage. People were working everywhere, adjusting this, moving that…at least 50 in all. There was seating for at least 200 and five cameras were in position before the stage. Of the people moving around, at least twenty were heavily arms.
Raven thought in her beloved’s mind, “I don’t think I want him on the air.”
Archer agreed in the link, *I don’t think it is a good idea either…*
*Lets go down one.* she thought to him.
*Okay* Archer sank through the floor to the 28th. Dropping down they entered into an opulent bathroom with gold fixtures and marble toilet, bath and counters. There was a picture of Rev M across from the toilet. The door was solid walnut with gold hinges and knob.
Raven smirked even in thought, *What a fitting place for him.*
Archer replied, *I was thinking of the dumpster…*
Raven thought back, *Lets see what he is up too out the door.*
*Think we’ll catch him doing some of girls that only want so to “worship” him?*
Raven thought in her beloved’s head, “Got a camera to take pic’s?”
*Is the Pope Polish?* Ghost Archer moved beside her.
Hearing a couple of clicks, she felt him pressing her to his hip turning around the room. Raven touched his mind again, *Can you lift his print.*
*Does an owl’s feet fit limbs?*
*”Blue wanted a set. Told me to get a glass or pen.”* She added in her thought.
Archer took her hand and slipped under his belt so she didn’t lose contact with him. Raven smiled an invisible smile. Moving around from the sink to the tub…black powder appear at various points followed by tape picking it up. The tape disappears into an invisible pocket.
The feel of Archer arm slipped around her again. *Anything else you want here? and don’t get any decorating ideas….*
**I wanted to find records of transactions**
*In the bathroom?* he inquired.
**Silly lover** she thought with a chuckle.
Archer kissed her ear.
**Let’s move to the next** she thought in his mind.
Archer stepped through the door with you into an incredible bedroom. The hard wood floors were Teak, along with the trim. The floor was covered with rich Persian rugs…the bed was huge and all in Royal Purple. Desk, antique, chair, antique, all the furniture was beyond rich. Of course there were pictures of the Rev M on all four walls.
*Looks nicer than your’s my love. Care to photograph his room?* Faint series of clicks sounded. *Hummm wonder what toys he has in his closets and drawer?*
*Looking for something new to play with, my love?* Archer moved with her to a chest of drawers. The drawer opened, it was filled with expensive clothes. Raven took a monogram handkerchief.
*I see….I am in love with a Kleptomaniac….* he jested.
The cloth disappeared as she placed it in her pocket. *No just proof*
*What next?*
*Desk* her mind spoke, *Lets see what secrets he keeps in it*
Ghost Archer stepped over to the desk with her. Raven started to open the drawers reading the papers and looking for the black book. The desk had very little in it, only as Gideon’s Bible and blank stationary. The Bible looked well thumbed and old. She rubbed the top sheet with pencil lead, to see if impression was on it, nothing. Than opened the bible. Printed on the inside leaf was a address for a cheap hotel in the poorer part of town. Scrawled across the cover leaf was “I am the modern day Moses!” The writing was blocky and looked like it was written by a man with the shakes. Raven pocketed the bible.
Archer questioned in her minds eye, *Where next, lover?*
*Next room*
The living room looked like something out of Life Styles of the Rich and Famous. Soft leather furniture, Persian rugs, freestanding fireplace, well stocked wet bar, low lighting, very comfortable…and expensive.
*Photo shoot* she thought. “click, click” sounded.
There was a set of double doors and an archway out of the room
*Go for it beloved* she spoke in thought.
*Right here?* Archer chuckled.
*I need to link him with the guns*
*Which way, love?*
Raven squeezed him. *Double doors should go to the private office*
*Let’s do it*
*OH right here?* she came back.
*We could try that bed…but I might lose your little butt in it someplace…*
*Maybe we can purchase the stuff when we bring him down* Even in her mind the anger showed, *I want the whip, he hit William with.*
*Let’s see what we can find* Archer stepped through the door into the private study.
The floor was done again in teak and gold, the desk was carved of a single block of onyx and was centered in the room. Raven shivered in his arms.
*What is it, love?* he was concern at her reaction.
*The stone of the dark ones* visions of the stone of the dark ones of her home flashed in her mind. The wailing souls trapped in the heart of it.
Ghost Archer kissed her ear *I am with you, love…always. Do you want me to search it?* Archer sensed the deeper fear, *You can wait here*
*Yes, I will not move* Raven released his waist.
Archer kissed her lips, the warmth moved from as he moved unseen to the desk. Nothing moved for a moment then a sheet of paper…a map of the United States floated into the air and faces her. Peering at the map she tried to read it.
The nation was divided into ten areas of about the same size and each of the ten sections into ten smaller one. It was labeled “Ministry of the Land Reapportionment, Final Edition”
*We need that or a copy* she sent her thought to him.
That map was laid aside and a second lifted. This one was of North America, Canada and Mexico have been divided as the U.S had been, it was labeled “Holy Quest for Greater Land, Phases Two and Three, Final Edition”
*He is The Dark Leader of the Green. We must stop him*
The Map was laid aside and a third lifted, of South America, labeled “Phase Four”
*We need them all* she thought.
The maps all moved one at a time, a faint click sounded heard for each one. Archer replaced the maps exactly as he had found them then picked up a folder and walked back to her, appearing before you. *No camera here, love…* Raven became one to the eye.
Ghost Archer handed her a folder with a tri colored cross-embossed on the cover, the title “Ministry of the Military” Under the seal was the title “Projected Time Table for the Greater Uprising.”
Raven ran her hands across the book. “Thorne will love the proof. Now my beloved. I need to have my justice on the Rev too.” Raven opened the book to see how soon the next thing will happen. “I too have a side you not seen.”
The report outlines a step by step timetable urban uprisings across the country, beginning in Seattle. It showed a timetable for the collapse of the U. S. government in only two weeks. The start date was…today. The time was set for Rev M telecast his message at 8 p.m. PST.
*We need to black out that telecast beloved. I will need to check the basement for main power and generator back ups. I want the Rev to my self-too.*
*What are you plotting, love?* Ghost Archer froze as a door opened somewhere. Grabbing her he pulled in close. Raven became one with the air. Archer vanished cursing, *damn* Archer let go of her taking the folder placing it back on the desk as two men enter the room. They move across the room and one rolled up the maps as the other picked up the folder.
Archer thought, *Sorry.. needed it back*
*We need that. It would have the bank robberies in it too. It ties him up* Raven thought, *I want to nail him to the cross he preaches in front of, NO ONE HURTS MINE!*
The two men tuck everything under their arms and head for the door.
*Lets follow for a bit* Raven thought, *No one touches mine.* Ghost Archer wrapped an arm around her and desolidified. Following the two out of the living area and into a foyer.
Ghost Archer stopped as the men got onto the open elevator. Raven eyes stayed on the man with the folder.
Archer thought, *look to the left of the elevator, love*
Raven looked left. There sat an automated machinegun turret suspended from the ceiling Raven thought, *good thing you have your trick* Three more turrets hung spaced around the lobby.
*These things are usually connected to some type of sensor…* Archer thought, *If I solidify.. it may go off…* Archer continued his thought, *What’s next, love?”
*We need either the folder or the basement. I need to find out if the studio has back up power* A pause fell in the her thought, *Need to see if one small electrical poof will do his plans in.*
Archer thought, *A small electrical poof.. this I can do.
Raven thought, *Think we should call in the troops?*
Archer thought, *we have a little time…let’s get out of here and do some planning…*
*Okay lets get to the team*
Archer thought, *I’m Archer…fly me…”
*Love them friendly skies*
Ghost Archer lifted Raven from her feet and holding her tightly. He lifted into the air, passing through the side of the building into the late afternoon sun.
Raven radioed “YO people wake up we have to save the world get to the house.”
Cat radioed, “Again? But I have a physics test tomorrow.”
Raven radioed “This time is succeed or die.”
Ghost Archer chuckled, “Your language, love, has become increasingly more colloquial.”
Raven grinned as she radioed, “I am not joking on this one.”
Cat’s voice sounded again over the air waves, “Ok, what’s the mission?”
“Not over the radio. Meet you at the hunt.” She transmitted as Archer headed for the Hunt house.
Cat radioed in a chuckle, “Ok, I’m here watching Rust goblin playing cards.”
“Let’s see.” She hummed as her beloved carried her.
“See what?” he inquired.
“Just thinking”
“About?”
“Cat is good with that science. He could short out the main power.” Raven thoughts jumped, “Iron is up and around.”
Archer smiled, “Good to hear he lived…”
“I think he faked it to stay with the girls.”
“Oh?” Archer raised an eyebrow, “But aren’t all the girls taken?”
“He sure stayed in the sands a long time. No rings on the fingers. I finally got the idea about the rings.” Raven smiled.
“Oh you did, did you?”
Raven nodded, “So you better never take yours off.”
“Not a chance, love…” She continued with her plans, “Lets see. You can take out any back up generators.”
Ghost Archer grinned, “You think?”
“He would to have them. If I can get up to the station as the seeker, I can try and grab him. Use my girlish charms to speak with him you know.”
“Not without me, love…”, thought Archer to her.
“After you get the generators, you can come back. Should take me that long to seduce him.” The devilish smile played on her lips.
“Seduce him?”
“You get the back ups before the main goes down.” Raven grinned at his words, “Don’t you think I can?”
“I don’t know…. ” Archer smiled, “I might be more his type…”
“Hmm, didn’t think of that.”
Archer slowed and landed on the lawn in front of the house.
“I keep forgetting the green don’t stick with the opposite sex.” Raven added, “What makes you think him the other way?”
Ghost Archer grinned “A priest joke, love.”
Ghost Archer fingered her clothes. “Not if you are dressed like this…”
“I will be in my normal things beloved and I will walk in the front door and request him. Tell him I have something to return to him.” Raven fingers tapped the bible in her coat. “He will see me.”
“If you give that back…he’ll know you have been in his inner sanctum…” he warned.
“Not if I say it was given to me.”
“Oh, yeah, I’d believe that…” Ghost Archer slipped an arm around Raven and headed for the door. “Got keys, love? or should I pick the lock?”
Raven patted herself down, “Um, pick it. I left them in my cloak.”
Ghost Archer twists the knob, the door opened, “Anybody home?!”
Cat popped his head up from his stack of books, “What do you want?”
Iron Golem stared at the cards, “I’m here.”
Raven radioed, “William please bring me my cloak. I am at the hunt and bring Star. She may reenter the warehouse as long as she is with you. I left it in Linda’s old hut and don’t smooch it I have a bag of donuts in it.” Raven added, “William , and my bag.”
Archer shook his head, “Hell of a greeting, Gato…”
Cat smirked, “Hi Green Ranger.” The Cat went up and hugged Raven, “Hi, sis.”
Raven radioed, “William , ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?”
William voice shook as he spoke in the radio, “Huh? Raven?” William chuckled “Star is a little…um…busy right now…”
“William please hurry we have little time.” Raven growled over the radio, “Tough, get your ass here.”
William panting “Give us…me a few more minutes…like twenty.. or so….”
Cat radioed. ” Pick up a pizza and make sure something’s on it. Do you have a sky cycle there?”
Raven snarled, “Sure and we can just let your favorite pastor take over.”
William replied breathless, “Yeah…okay….” There is a girl moaning in the background.
Raven radioed, “I need it now. William! NOW!”
*thump, crackle, hiss*
“Okay the rev is taking over the green starting tonight.” Raven tossed her hands up in the air. “It starts with the broadcast tonight.”
Ghost Archer looked at Raven with a raised eyebrow.
She didn’t seem to note the look and talked to the others, “After they take over the section called the U S. They will me expanding into Mexico and Canada and South America. The first assault starts here in Seattle tonight. We need to stop the broad cast and get the military time table folder, so Thorne has his proof.”
***
William rested his weight lightly on Star, their bodies joined, both on the edge of fulfillment. “Raven wants us at the house..”
Star nodded “I know. It is urgent to her.”
William moved in her slowly “Should we hurry?”
Star moved to the motion,” Mmmmmm, Her emotion are rising. She is preparing for battle.”
William increases his tempo. “And I am preparing to make you tingle…”
Star moaned, “We better hurry. ”
William licked Star’s ear causing her to sing in delight. “Yeah…faster” he panted. He moved in long full strokes as fast as he could.
Star tried to stop, her words hollow, “William we must go now.”
William kissed her ear.. “If we hurry, we can finish and be gone in a few minutes”
Star moaned, “Hurry than”
***
Cat asked, “So do we go in and brake his equipment or him?”
“Raven is worried about a back up generator, Cat… She’s right, of course, ” Archer looked at the young male feline, “Can you think of a way to cut him off?”
“At the knees.” Cat rumbled.
“We need to take it out and than pull the main. How about a jamming device?” Raven mind whirled with the possibilities, “just in case they have more than one back up.”
“One thing they can’t back up….” Archer started.
Cat chimed in, “To bad we can’t just send a missile to home in on his signal.”
“It could get you a HARM, Cat.” Ghost Archer grinned.
“Harpoon? Anti Radar Missile.” The boy asked.
“You got the idea.” Ghost Archer nodded, “But there is an easier way. Cat…you have a transmitter…what’s the fastest and easiest way to disable it?”
“There’s an easier way? I can think of a funnier way but not easier.” Cat paused in thought and added, “Salt water.”
Archer said, “What about the coax? If you cut the transmission cable and he fires up the transmitter. You’ll blow the output amp when you shoot it into an open.
Raven removed the wool gloves revealing her claws. She dropped the pants revealing her bare legs and boots. Then she grabbed the over side shirt and toss to the pile.
Cat nodded, “Sure disable the power, at the source or on the way to the target. Take out the transmitter. The Coax from the Transmitter to the antenna or the antenna. Take out anyone and the signal is dead.”
Raven now in her bodysuit with dragons glowing through asked, “Would that be on the roof?”
Archer said, “And the antenna is a lot easier to get too then an underground generator. Yes, it would have to be on the roof…”
“I could get there,” Raven added in thought, “Better safe than sorry, do both.”
Archer volunteered, “I’ll do the generator. I can get to it quicker desolid.
“Cat and iron can go after the main power and me the roof?
Cat nodded as he asked, “We take out the stage?”
Archer took Raven’s gloved hands, “One thing, love.”
Raven looked into her beloved’s eyes, “Yes.”
“DO NOT cut that cable until power goes out.” Archer warned, “If the thing is transmitting and you cut it…it might kill you…”
“I will wait.” She said, “and than we move to get the Rev.”
“The studio is on the 29th floor.” Archer said, “He should be there when we strike.”
“No cat we stop the broadcast first. Than we get the REV M.” Raven growled as she exclaimed, “I REALLY WANT HIM!”
Cat asked, “Wouldn’t that give him a warning? We’ve let so many get a way.”
“Power will kill the elevators.” Archer said, “He’ll have to run down 30 floors. The building has three elevators…one with a past key and three stairwells. There are a lot of guards…at least 5 or 6 per floor.
Cat smirked, “I’ll ask them who’s the dragon that comes from the earth. That’s sure to start a fight amongst them.
Archer borrowed his brow; “You lost me, Cat.”
“Have you read the last book in the bible?”
Ghost Archer grinned. “Behold a pale horse and he that sat upon him was called Death.”
“Everyone in religion thinks they know what it means and everyone is different.” Cat pointed out.
Raven looked at the reverend’s bible wishing she knew more about it but now was not the time, “Okay, the broadcast is at eight. Let’s check watches. Iron you have a watch?”
Archer said, Two and a half hours…
Looking at his wrist Cat spoke up, “I have 24 after.”
Raven pulled down her glove and took one of her six watches off. “Here Iron use this one.”
Archer nodded, “Okay…how are your two getting in, Cat? Do you have a pad and pencil?”
Raven said, “There is a shipping dock in the back.”
Cat purred, “Through the wall? The sky cycles? Let me get one.” He bounded over To his homework and gets his organizer.
Archer said, “Thanks, Cat.” Archer quickly sketched the building, the doors, loading docks, service entrance, elevators, stairs..
Cat asked, “To get in do I need a black suit, a back pack and a bike helmet?”
Raven stood fidgeting. Archer slipped an arm around Raven. “Take it easy, love…we have time.” Raven looked at her beloved. Ghost Archer whispered in Raven’s ear.
Raven grin spread wide across her face, as she shook her head no.
“After?” Ghost Archer grinned.
Raven nodded; “Let’s see.”
Ghost Archer turned back to his sketch, “Primary power is going to come in underground and the back up will probably be in the basement. Iron Golem, can you fly?
Iron Golem shook his head; “No I can’t fly.”
Cat purred proudly, “We do have the sky cycles here.”
Archer said, “Damn, I forgot about those.”
Raven went over every thing in her head as she spoke it aloud, “At 8 I cut the cord. So the power has to go down by 7:59”
Archer asked, “Raven…can you get that Throne guy to get us a copy of the utilities system for that building?”
Raven goes for her cell, than growls moving to the hunt phone staring at it. Raven goes to get her phone book, than growls again.
Archer said, “What’s wrong? Raven? What is it?” Raven growled out, “My phone and phone book is in my cloak, with William and Star.”
Archer grinned, “I am going to buy you a PDA.”
Raven looked confused, “What is that?”
Cat radioed, “William, are you on your way? What’s your ETA?”
“Yeah, yeah…coming…. Yeesh…” William radioed back, “You do know these things don’t handle two all the well…”
Cat chuckled in the radio; “It should if you don’t eat too much.”
“Do what?” William grumbled, “I have Star with me.”
Raven radioed, “Get my cell phone out and press the quick dial, tell me the number.”
Star fished out the phone and hits the button. The number appeared as the phone rang and she read off the number, than closed it.
Cat more serious radioed, “Ok I’ll work on the thrusters.”
William still wanting to go back at his room with Star snidely remarked, “Yeah, whatever…”
Raven dialed Throne
“Throne!” he answered.
“Seeker,” Raven said into the phone, “Peter I need the utility lay out for the promise land.”
Throne questioned, “The Promised Land?”
Raven stated the address of the building adding, “If it all goes right for a change you will have your proof to take down Rev M.”
“Okay…give me ten minutes…I’ll fax it to you.”
“If not we will all be his slaves.” Raven said, “Thank you Peter.”
“Not a problem.” Throne spoke softly to her, “Talk to you later.”
Raven said, “Hurry Please.”
William pushed the front door open “Here’s your junk, Raven” He dropped the bag and cloak on the couch.
Raven hung up the phone, turning to her first mate, “Thank you William.”
Star stood in the doorway watching.
William grumbled, “You realize how heavy this thing is? And can you make an appointment next time…you have shitty timing.”
Raven put on the bag grinning; “I won’t leave my cloak again.” She tossed the loaded cloak over her as if it was air.
William returned to Star taking her hand, leading her inside. Star followed William
William asked, “Now…what’s this about Rev M?”
Star blurted out; “William does the Rev like boys or girls?”
William said a little shocked being taken of guard, “What? You mean like sex?”
Raven smiled, “Yes she does. Star I can speak for myself.”
“How would I know…he didn’t make a pass at me!” he said still with a tinge of surprise in his voice.
Raven said, “Where was the room ?” Raven face filled with anger.
Cat smarted off; “You’re just not cute enough.”
William half eyed the cat, “He’d probably like your pussy ass…”
Raven held her temper, “William”
Cat finished her sentence, “Lightened William’s back?”
Raven nodded, “The room.”
William asked, “What room?”
Raven said, “Where he whipped you.”
William lowered his head; “I don’t want to talk about it…”
Star eyes implored him as she whispered, “Tell her, please.”
Cat shook his head, “William sometimes you’re as dense as green Ranger.”
Raven eyes narrowed, “I want to return the favor to him.”
Ghost Archer raised an eyebrow at Cat “Care to clarify that?”
Cat smirked, “You wouldn’t understand.”
Archer said, “Try me…”
Cat sat down laughing to hard to stand. “It’s just you and women. Sometimes you’re clueless.”
Archer said, “A sixteen year old expert in women…. I guess I am too old to know everything.”
Cat smiled.
Raven looked to Star silently and the girl nodded.
William scowled, looking at his hands
Raven grinned evilly with her eyes narrowed, “William I will pay him back for what he did.”
William asked, “Why?”
Raven said with raised voice, “No one hurts my first mate and get away with it.NOT EVER!”
William shook his head; “It’s over now…why worry about it?”
Raven growled.
Cat piped in, “Not until you can think about him with out cringing in fear.”
Star moved to Raven
William shook his head, “I ain’t afraid of him…and he didn’t whip me!”
Raven and Star stared into each other’s eyes, “Who did?” asked Raven as the two-stood eye deadlock.
Cat shrugged, “Who cares. Who ever did was probably under mind control.”
William near whispered, “It was that asshole Reign….”
Cat asked, “Are you telling me that he didn’t do it under orders? Otherwise I don’t care about him.”
William glared at the boy, “Reign don’t take orders very good…”
Raven said, “Than he is on my list too.” Than turned to Star, “No star you may not.”
Star grinned
William dropped into a chair, his head down.
“Ok, we hand cuff him to something and live you to guard him. Does that work for you Will?” asked Cat.
Star moved to the door. Raven jumped forward grabbing Star by the arm.
William slumped in the chair, “You don’t know Reign…he’ll kill you… Use his bare hands…. ”
Cat replied with self-assurance, “He can try. Who can give us problems when we do this?”
Ghost Archer moved with Raven, “What’s up, love?”
Raven said, “She was going to end William’s pain.” Raven stared at Star.
*You are right no one should hurt the first mate.* Star thought.
Ghost Archer scowled, watching for a mental exchange.
Star smiled.
Archer said, “Star?”
Star eyes dance in a blue flame
Archer said, “We are a team… We work together…Don’t go off and get yourself hurt. We need you. William needs you.”
Star nodded, “I will not allow her voice to be lost.” Than turned to look at William. Her eyes soften the blue in the flame eyes.
“Napoleon, Cannon, Reign, Guillotine, Bastille, Bayonet. And the Chosen…and the Guardian Angels….” William meet Star’s eyes, “He’s right, Star…I need you.”
Raven said, “William take her to the warehouse and don’t let her out.” Raven and Star again went into silent communication, Raven grip Star’s arm tighter.
“I can try…” William stood and went to Star. “Please come with me, Star…and stay with me…”
Star broke her stare with Raven, “For this moment I will.” Star eyes fade into blues and yellows.
Raven nodded, “Lets go guys. We have 6 more to grab.”
William put an arm around Star. Star whispered, “She is right they will pay.”
William spoke, “Raven?”
Raven said, “Yes, William.”
Cat flipped off with his attitude, “That many William? I hope they can’t challenge us by them self.”
“Reign…and the others?” William paused, “I don’t know what they can do… except.. Reign can kill with a touch… I mean kill..I saw it… He liked doing it… His hand glow purple…and he touched her…”
Cat spouted off, “Good, I’ll see it coming and he can’t kill what he can’t touch.”
William ignored him, “And the Guardian Angel… There is a lot of them… maybe 20… They wear combat armor…”
Raven said, “First the broadcast and than each of them.” Raven smiled looking at Star. Who held near the same expression.
Cat added, “Cool I can really hit them and on worries about what happen to Reign.”
Raven said, “Time to move.”
William looked at Cat; “He’s a cold blooded killer…”
Star laughed. William looked at Star, puzzled. Star smiled, “I will go with you.” Star nodded at raven.
“So if I get my fist caught in his rib cage the only thing that should bother me and that I get my clothing stained.” Cat tried to reassure the worry.
William looked into the flame eyes, “and stay with me?”
“Till the sunrises.” Star stroked his hair, “Than we will talk.”
William took her hand and kissed it, “Okay…”
Raven said, “Star, thank you.” She kissed Star.
“Umm, there is no tingles.” Star commented.
“I hope not.” William broke a smile, “That’s my job….”
Raven pecked Williams’s cheek. Star walked back out the door with William.
“Now where do you want me to enter and what am I taking out? Or who?” Cat looked down at the cards, “Rust Goblin, the black 5 goes on to the Red 6.”
Archer spoke up, “Cat…you should be able to cut the main from outside the building and where DO we want Iron Golem?”
Iron Golem snarled at Cat, “Stop calling me rust goblin. I’ll cut off the bad guys.”
Cat checked the diagrams to see where he can cut off the power to the building.
Archer said, “You know if we hit them just before the broadcast, they will all be in the auditorium…”
“Doing a tap dance on stage.” Cat joked, “With a lumpy floor covering?”
Raven checked her cloak and goes to the fax machine, than handed the to fax to her Archer, “Hope that helps.”
The fax had a map of the manholes in the area, including the circuit number and the underground substation location.
Archer pointed on the fax, “You can cut their power right here…” He showed the page to Cat.
Raven suggested, “I think Taurus axe will come in handy for this.”
Cat checked the best way for that place to the auditorium.
Iron Golem eyes lit up, “I wanna use the axe come on let me use it please.”
Archer said, “The manhole is two blocks from the building..”
Cat nodded, “I guess it will take me a while.”
“Will let you cut yours first, Cat…” Archer said, “I’ll wait until the emergency generator comes on.”
Cat asked, “What time do I cut mine?”
“Then give you time to get in position before killing it.” Archer replied, “How long will it take you to get to the building?”
Raven said, “And I cut between the two.”
“No!” Archer said, “You cut after me. The whole building will got black.”
Cat added, “I guess I could put a time bomb there. That way I could get into position.”
Archer asked, “You have a time bomb?”
Raven said, “no.”
Cat answered, “Not yet. We could I would prefer Throne supplying it to us.”
“We have time for that?” Archer asked.
Raven replied, “Not really.”
“I guess not. It would have been nice.” Cat added.
Raven looked in her cloak for something, frowning as the search failed to find an item.
Archer asked, “What’s missing?”
Raven said, “My M80’s.
“M80?” archer asked. “You have M80’s?” He laughed softly.
Raven shrugged, “Must have lost them.”
Cat chimed in, “Don’t everyone? I have a score right by my white one in my home desk.”
Archer said, “Where do we meet up for the final assault?”
“At my attack point?” Cat asked
Archer reviewed the plan, “Step one…7:55 pm…Cat blows the mains. Step 2: I blow the secondary at 7:59.”
Cat interjected, “Cool, 5 minutes is more then enough time to get right out the window.”
Archer continued, “Step 3: Raven chops the transmit cable..At 8:00. Step 4: 8:01…we hit the auditorium…”
Cat asked, “Then we all play dance on the Rev?”
Archer said, “How are you going to get up their, Cat?”
“I climb up the out side.”
Raven added in, “1st priority, The timetable folder, 2nd Rev M.”
Archer said, “First priority, you watch you ass…and your team mates ass.”
Raven nodded.
Cat spoke up again, “Then you KILL the other guy.”
“Kill, Cat?” Archer asked, “A little bloodthirsty are we?”
Raven took the donuts out of the cloak and put them on the table. Next she removed a jar of pickles. Raven shifted her sword forwards. She than moved some Cayenne red pepper to the front pocket. Raven moved a bag of glass shards, tucking them in the top of her glove.
“I guess I’m talking about the Rev and Reign.” Cat continued, “Rev has sent many to their deaths and Reign kills for the sport of it.”
“How are you going to get to the top floor, Cat?” asked Archer than turned to look at the other, “and you, Iron Golem?”
Cat looked at the female, “Raven, this is a mission. If you can’t use it on it don’t take it.”
Archer smirked, “You don’t recognize weapons, Cat?”
Raven said, “I am unloading.”
Cat asked, “Pickles?”
Archer grinned, “You smelled those things?”
Raven pulled out the rope and small hook, looked at and replaced. She dropped wine skin on the table.
“I could almost under stand the Cayenne Pepper but I would think that it would be better as a powder.” Cat said.
Archer said, “It is…”
Raven dropped paper pencil, an old logbook and a new one and her bag. She looked down at the pile, “I think I need the rest. Okay lest go.”
Archer said, “You know I am ready…”
Raven said, “Meet you all there.”
Archer said, “where do we met?”
“We don’t not till 8:01,” Raven stepped out the door.
The Cat gets on a sky cycle and flies to his manhole.
“Yeah…” Archer stepped up behind her and turned her for a kiss, “Need a lift, love?”
Raven smiled, “Sure.”
Ghost Archer pulled her close and lifted into the air. “Shall I drop you off on the roof?”
Raven said, “Yes.”
Iron Golem gets on a sky cycle and following cat. Cat parked his Sky cycle by a meter and puts in $1.50.
Ghost Archer approached the building, there is a huge antenna on the roof. “Invis, love.” Than he disappeared. Raven faded to the air.
Archer set down on the rooftop. He thought to Raven, *Here are cameras, stay invis…*
Raven thought, *not for long but I will*
Archer thought back, *I’ll be dropping to the basement now…see you in about ten minutes..* He pulled her close sharing a kiss with her. Stepping back he released her, desolidifing.
Raven took position near the cable her claws stand ready.
Ghost Archer passed through the auditorium and stopped, looking the place over. Ghost Archer moved out into clear air “There are hundreds in the auditorium..and six are supers…” Ghost Archer droped back into the building and headed for the basement
Cat opened the manhole, hopping down into the sewer, looking for the target. Iron Golem followed watching his back. Cat checked his watch as the sec tick away with a 3″ solid steel ball in hand.
7:50
Ghost Archer located the back up generator. He slide an arrow out of the quiver.
7:51
Iron Golem glared happily at the cable as he twirls the axe in his hands.
7:52
Raven looked at her watch watching the sweep second hand move
7:54
Raven shivered as a thought sweeps across her mind. “What if they fail to turn off the power. No she had to cut the broadcast at any cost.”
Archer said, 7:54:55
Cat shouted, “Now Iron. Now.”
Iron Golem swings his axe at the cable.
7:55
Archer thought, *POW*
A huge bolt of lightning explodes from the cable, the axe acting as a conductor. The lightning reaches Iron Golem. Cat tries to get IG and the axe out of the sewer. The odor of arch welding permeates the air. Circuit breakers down the line trip, blacking out a large area of the city. Instantly the back up kicks on, the roar of the diesel filling the small room under the building, the lights flicker and steady. Iron Golem was smoking. All of Cat’s fur was standing on end…
Raven readied herself; she hooked the cable in her claws.
“IG either guard the exits or take the cycle to the roof. I’m on my way.” Cat looked at him self and says, “I washed it and I can’t do a thing with it.”
Iron Golem grabbed the axe and headed for the cycle. Cat jumped to the building.
Raven looked at the watch thinking time must of stop
Iron Golem circled the building.
7:57
Raven thought, *come on, come on.*
Cat looked of an entrance. There were three ways in..the main…the service and the loading dock. The main opened into a lobby filled with people, the service into the kitchen. Cat entered the service entrance. The kitchen was occupied by about ten people, all working, cooking…
7:58
Cat the super hero in jeans and tee shirt rushed in and says “Hi I’m the surprise guess speaker? Where’s the stairs up?”
One of the people pointed out through a swinging door.
“Thank you.” Cat then ran to the stairs. There stood a guard at the door to the stairs.
The power to the building abruptly goes out.
Cat greeted the guard, “Hi, I’m the surprise guest speaker. What floor is the stage?”
All is dark inside the building. Pitch dark in most places, as there isn’t any light coming from the surrounding area.
7:59
Ghost Archer desolidified and flies straight up.
Cat goes through the door ignoring the guard, jumping from landing to landing.
The people in the dining room begin to mutter.
8:00
Raven slices the cable. She than moved to the roof door that leads down to the stair well. Archer appeared beside Raven. She smiled.
Archer said, “Hey, love…”
Raven pulled a smile, “29 floor please.”
Ghost Archer pulled her close and desolidified.
Raven radioed,” Now”
Cat gets to the 29th floor, rushing into the auditorium, busting open the doors to the big room.
Ghost Archer dropped through the floor into the middle of the room. He moved to the stage droping Raven to the stage and draws an arrow. Raven headed to the reverend.
A large crash sounded as Iron Golem smashed sky cycle thorough a window of the 29th floor. He landed mid stage and dismounted.
Cat announced loudly, “This is a test of the emergence broadcast system.” The stairs opened at the back of the room. There cat stood with several hundred people, two guys entered, they look larger then normal and much more developed than normals.
Raven thought, *Beloved we need that file or we are going to look like idiots. Please find it for me.* On stage Raven saw sixteen people sitting in chairs, one was standing at a podium.
Cat looked at the two guys and said, “Do either of your hands glow purple.” Both guys turn at the sound of Cat’s voice. There was no purple glow…
Raven cursed her vision as she looked at the red blobs of heat. Raven said, “Will Rev M please raise your hand?” she opened her mind to the one that was standing as she asked,
Ghost Archer pulled an arrow from the quiver and placed it to the string, firing into the seated crowd. Archer’s arrow exploded, covering a large area of the seats, numerous on lookers fall to the floor.
One figure raised to his feet, his arm coming up, aiming at Raven. A machine gun rips, a single slug striking Raven in the left upper arm
The man at the podium spoke, “Why do you attack us my children? I am doing God’s work. All here are with me in my mission. Lay down your arms and come to me. Join me in the light of God. Stand beside me, help me to help those that cannot help themselves.”
Raven yelled, “Get that one little brother and give him to Golem. You shouldn’t of let them beat one of my family.”
Archer pulled second arrow, notched it and fired into another part of the crowd. The arrow pops and many more fell to the ground
Cat went to the Rev and said, “O great man of god. fly.” then grabbed him.
The man was dressed in heavy velvet robes. He continued to talk even as at grabbed him The one that fired the gun leaped at Cat, stopping a couple of yards away. His arm came back and swung at Cat. Something sharp scored cat’s back.
Rev M prayed aloud, “Strike him down, oh Lord, for he has laid hands upon thy servant!” From out of the ceiling a bolt of lightning strikes Cat
“Cat you got in god’s way, that should of hit the Rev.” Raven said, That’s right Rev. you should be struck down, you dared touch my first. May the flame engulf you.”
The blast knocked the man from the cat’s grip and sent him sliding across the floor. Rev M falls heavily to the stage floor. Cat tumbled across the stage and into some props, causing the whole mess to crash down atop him.
“See my children…God will not let his servant be attack without retaliation!” shouted Rev M
“Your right.” Raven said, “that is why I am here. You should never touch anothers flock.”
“Do you not see the error of your ways? Join me sister!”
“It was your error.” Raven said, “you almost killed him.”
“Come into my flock, that yours may grow with your joining! I AM the modern Moses, I STALL bring the word of God to this land!”
A voice from one of those on the stage rings out with a marked Spanish accent “Tell me Father, for I am blind and would smite thy foes! Aim me and my cannon shall speak!”
Raven said as she moved closer to the Rev, “Tell me why I should follow.”
Ghost Archer pulled a third arrow from the quiver and notched it, firing into the crowd…still more fall.
Rev M continued, “God speaks to you, through me…I come to Seattle to help those of the streets….do you not do the same thing?! Do you know walk the street, giving all that you have to the child sleeping in the cardboard box? Did you not try to recruit, even as I, to lead your chosen to your own Promised Land?!”
“I help those who need me.” Raven said.
Rev M compared,”As do I!…Do I not feed and clothes the thousands?”
“And I protect those that come to me,” Raven said trying to hold down her anger, “and you had him nearly killed.”
“Even NOW, there are hundreds in this very building, eating a good meal.. because God gave me a mission!”
“What are the 10 comments of our god?” She asked, remembering the reading she had done. Rev. M rattled them off. “How many do you break?”
Cat gets up and returned the attack on man that stabbed him. The man was heavily armored but flies back with a crash, sliding as Cat did across the wooden floor. Cat said, “Look the angel went flying.”
Rev M announced, “I am a man of God..I am a Profit of God! God tells me all I do now it proper and just!”
“Murder is proper. You do not read the same book I did. Torture is just?”
“Who did I torture?” Rev M asked, “Who did I kill?”
Raven opened her mind and ordered Rev. M onto the bike. He walked to the bike as he spoke, “Tell me, o’ Seeker, what sins have you committed? Dealing drugs? Selling guns? Consorting with hookers and strippers?”
“The sins of your green where unknown to me at that time.” She said, holding her control.
“Ignorance is no excuse before God!” he took his dig, “Nor in the eyes of the Law!”
“And I will consort with hookers and strippers they are at least truthful, Even your son of god consorted with them.” Raven looked at him with eyes narrowed, “Which law?”
Mar 03,2001
“And what of this lover of yours? Is he not a killer?” The Rev M asked.
Raven said, “You rise up against the government of the green and that is forbidden in your holy word.”
“Do you not fornicate with him?” The Rev still went on. “Judge not, lest ye be judge, o’ Seeker!”
“No I don’t.” Raven retorted, “I don’t fear judgement.”
“Then you know not God’s wrath!” Rev M offered, “Join me my lost child…”
Around the room, many are trying to move…trying to get out of the line of Archer’s fire. The Reverend still had not yet found the bike.
Raven said, “Dear Rev. Why not join me?”
“Step into the love and light of the Lord!” he near chanted.
“I have step to the love.” She smiled.
Rev M extend her the offer again, “You do not see God yet, daughter, let me show you the peace and love you seek….
Raven said, “Maybe.” She held out her hand to him.
“Come to me…bring thy friends for all are welcome!” Rev M continued, “Help me to help those you have tried to aid yourself!”
“Take my hand,” Raven said, “and I will talk. Let us talk else where, I know the perfect place.”
Ghost Archer again fired, knocking over more. Cat tromps on the man again calling out, “Next!” The guy slide across the floor and slammed into the wall with a clatter.
Rev M agreed, “I will talk to you, while my Chosen repair the problem with the power.” He took hold of gloved hand, “Come, child, let us talk…I am sure you will come to see my side of this.” Raven help him to the bike. “Where do we go?” He asked as he sat astride the bike.
“Iron, forest both allowed in only you are allowed out. I will follow.”Raven replied than to Rev M, “We go to a peaceful place.”
“The Iron forest?” he asked
Raven said, “Iron go.”
Cat shouted; “I want the man with the purple hands. How are you against a man that isn’t tied up?”
Raven shouted, “Don’t forget items.”
The Spanish voice rang out. “Do you think we would let Reign up there? He is below, in the security area.”
Iron Golem rides off with the Rev. Raven follows teleporting and floating to try and keep up.
Cat asked, “GR, Got it?”
Archer said, Got it Cat.
“O Carlos, What floor is he?” Cat asked.
“27, idiot!” spat Carlos
Cat asked, “Could you give me a ride GR? The stairs look a little crowded and the next building looked a little far and short for me.”
Ghost Archer dropped to the stage and retrieved the folder on the podium. “What did you have in mind, Gato? I usually only ride …never mind…”
Many people were rushing the stage or trying to get out through the stairs….
Ghost Archer grinned wryly and flew to Cat. He put an arm around him, “You just don’t feel right…all the curves are wrong.” Ghost Archer dropped out the window and fell a few floors just for fun.
Cat pointed to the power junction and says, “My bike’s over there.”
Ghost Archer drops down, braking at the last second and sets Cat lightly down beside his bike.
Raven radioed, “Everyone meet me at the forest”. Raven hurried along
As Iron Golem flew the man talked softly to him, his words making more and more sense… “Can’t anyone see how wonderful he is?” wondered Iron Golem.
Cat mounted his bike, “See you at the Warehouse.”
“Yeah..” Archer shook his head and looked at the building scratching his chin, then flew back to the building.
Cat started the bike and fliew off arriving first at the warehouse. Finally arriving Raven entered the warehouse. No Iron Golem in sight.
Ghost Archer arrived a few seconds later with the rolled up maps, “Thought we might need these.”
Raven radioed, “Iron” she growled softly waiting for the reply. “Iron speak to me”
“Have you heard the word of God today?” the radio crackled. A few minutes later Iron Golem arrived…alone… IG was seduced by Rev M and put him down someplace but doesn’t remember where
Raven said, “Well at least we got the proof to kick his ass. We need to blow up a building too.”
Archer said, “Blow up the building? Love…that isn’t the answer….The Government will take it.. never fear.. and close it…throwing all those people out on the street…”
Cat sighed, “The only two I wanted was Reign and Rev M.”
Archer said, Yes, indeed!
Thorne arrived with in a few minutes. Raven invited Peter in for the first time Thorne looked VERY surprised.
Raven said, “Welcome to the warehouse forest.”
“How do you do this?” Thorne trying to keep his jaw from dropping, “You hide an entire building!”
Raven smiled, “With help from another.”
“Why do you need the house with a place like this?” Peter asked.
Raven answered, “Because this place can not be the hunt,it is more like the get away from work place. A place to forget.”
Thorne walked around doing circles.
Cat chimed in, “Cloths are optional, I have a real problem getting work done around here.”
“How does your garden grow?” Thorne asked.
“It was to house my people we moved.” Raven stared at him.
Thorne raised both eyebrow, “I can see that would be a serious problem, Cat. What do you have for me?”
“We lost Rev M,” Raven said, “He was the topping I really wanted to hand you but.” Raven get out the proof, “This should send him away.”
Cat recited, “Our garden grows with Cockleshells and sliver bells.”
“What type of proof?” asked Thorne.
Raven picked an orange and handed it to Thorne, “The time table.”
Thorne looked at it, puzzled at the fruit.
Raven said, “In the front is the bank robbery.”
Thorne asked, “and orange time table?”
Raven handed him the folder. Thorne took the offered folder and opened it, flipping through the pages.
Raven said, “and the maps.” She plopped on the ground letting her cloak fall off
“Damn.” Thorne whispered.
Raven asked, “We did good this time?”
Thorne raised his head, “Hmm…”
“Throne can you think about work now? I know I can’t.” Cat chimed looking at Raven leaning in the grass.
Thorne looked up, “No…you did great!”
“About time,”Raven smiled as Star join them, “Thorne, meet Star.”
Ghost Archer grinned, “That’s why she wears the cloak…so I can work…”
Thorne looked up at the girl and does a double take.
Cat smiled.
Star was wearing Williams shirt and nothing else.
Thorne asked, “You are Raven’s twin?”
“NO,” Star blankly looked at him, “We are much different.”
“Sorry…you look so much alike.”
“She is much older but much younger.” Star stated
Cat shouted, “William, where’s Linda?”
Star looked at Cat, “She is in her room.”
“Up with Josho.” William shouted as he descended a vine, “You want me to take him for a while.”
Cat grinned, “Thank you.”
Star smiled at Thorne.
William winked at Cat, “Linda! Putty tat is here! Drop the baby!
Cat hopped up to the rafters.
Linda squealed, “WAY KEWL!!!”
Raven added, “Don’t drop the baby.”
Thorne mumbled, “This is going to be Capone all over again.”
Star added, “Oh we have photos too!”
William shook his head, “Not really.”
Star smiled, “Not of us. Her beloved took some.”
Archer handed the tiny roll of film to Thorne. “Just interiors and the maps.” Thorne took the film.
“Star,” Raven said, “I can talk.”
William smiled, “Time to babysit, would you like to join me Star?”
“Yes William,” Star smiled as she took William’s hand adding, “Nice to see you again Peter. I hope we can talk soon.”
“Again?” Thorne says absently as he read, “Sure…any time…”
William commented, “Damn…. better find the earplugs.”
William smiled at Star, “Let’s play with Josho.”
Star nodded, “Yes.”
“He so cool.” added William.
“He is a nice mind,” Star spoke, “and it moves in wonder.”
Thorne shut the folder, “I need to get going on this, Raven.”
“Yes,” Raven said, “He will probably try and bring charges against our attack tonight or come after us.”
Thorne said, “Thanks…you’ve probably save a lot of lives tonight.”
“I hope so.”
Thorne offered his hand, “Great job.”
Raven moved to her knees and took his hand. “Thank you.”
“Good night.”
“Tell Helen I send greetings.” She added.
“I’ll let you know how things go.” Thorne smiled, “I will” He turned on his heel and almost marches out.
Archer asked, “How much did you think it would cost?” He sat beside her in the grass.
“What would cost?” she leaned over to his shoulder.
“To get that stick out of his ass….” Ghost Archer grinned, “Kidding…”
“He is a good man.”
Archer said, “He’s just…so military…”
“HE is a good man.”
Ghost Archer laughed, “I know.. I had him checked out. He’s a hell of a man. He and Helen took out six trained killers in Murmansk…”
“So you are a lover and we fornicate.” Raven laughed.
Ghost Archer grinned, “Every chance we get.”
“We are one.” She looked up into his eyes and became lost in them.
Ghost Archer leaned over to kiss her, “Definitely.”
“And their is no wrong in it.”
Archer shook his head, “Not a bit….”
Raven closed the small gap pressing her lips to his.
“Mmm.’ Archer moaned to her lips.
Raven said, “May be I will give him back his book when he is in stronghold.”
