BACKGROUND

Michael Ivy arrives in Hudson City with his wife Madalyne. She walks along beside his wheelchair as they arrive at the airport. They stop at the luggage claim. She grabs the bags and attaches them to the back of his chair. A pained look crosses his face as she does the heavy lifting, but smiles up at her as she leans down to kiss his cheek. “I love you Maddie.” She ruffles his hair, “I love you too, Mike.” She ruffles his hair. “Let’s go. The taxi is suppose to be here waiting.”

They make their way towards the airport exit and the waiting taxis. They spot the one taxi van and make their way towards the van. The side door opens and a ramp drops out. Michael sends his wheelchair over to the van. “If you’ll load the luggage in the back for us, that would be great.” Michael looks at the van setup and nods to his wife. “It will work.” He backs his chair up the ramp and turns it so that he is facing front. Madalyne latches the chair into place in the van. Madalyne kisses his cheek again and climbs into the front seat, after making sure that all the luggage has been loaded in the back.
