ORIGIN:

If ever there was a force to drive men to do mad things it is love. For love can start wars and end empires as easily as lives. For one such robotist it was the latter that was becoming all too a reality. He worked frantically on the android body before him connecting the last of the wires and neurons to make his creation complete…

“Father is it ready?” A console screen near him blinked to life, a feminine face spread across staring at him.

He stopped for a moment and nodded.

“Nearly Cammy, nearly, a few more circuits and we can upload you into your body.” He smiled and nervously whipped the sweat from his brow. Shouting and yelling from outside the lab drew his attention away as he went pale. With a quick movement he slammed his palm down on the large emergency button on the console, sirens blared, light flashed as heavy blast doors came down covering the entrance to the lab.

“That will buy us all the time we need.” He returned to his work swiftly soldering and connecting that last few circuits before turning to the console.

“I’m starting the download now Cammy, it’ll be like falling asleep for a little bit then you’ll wake up in your new body.”

“And I can see you for real, right father?”

He paused and slowly shook his head.

“They’re coming for us Cammy, you… you need to escape, they can’t catch you…”

“But father-“

“No buts… I’m sorry Cammy but you’re too special for them to corrupt, promise me you’ll never kill anyone if you don’t have to…”. There was a pause

“I promise…”

He nodded and hit a few keystrokes.

“I’ve set the station to jettison the lab and self destruct… the nearby space is a shipping lane, they won’t be able to detect you when you sneak aboard… just stay safe and…. good bye my daughter….”
