By Jack Carter
So many thoughts run through my head
Every night as I lie in bed
I think about love, someone to care
I wish for someone in which my life to share
I think about my friends and wish them well
I think about how the world is on it way to hell
I think about when I was young, when life was better
I think about friends and how I should write a letter
I often think of you and me
And how mush better my life would be
If you were here where you belong
I believe this is your place but I could be wrong
We never had much of a chance
To turn this into a real romance
Out time together was short but oh so nice
To each others life we added some spice
We seemed to fill a need that each of us had
Just because it was different, didn’t make it bad
I don’t know why our relationship you had to analyze
It was good for us both didn’t you realize
You must take the good and filter the bad
If you do that you’ll have a better life then you ever had
Remember always, it is true
Never hurt anyone that wouldn’t hurt you
You know it is so rare
to find somebody who really does care
