Drugs are a good escape from reality
They make you forget all your problems or is that just it way it seems to be?
They make a drug to make you feel any way you want
But watch out cause your life they will always haunt
They’ll turn you into someone you don’t want to be
Everyone else will know it, but you will refuse to see
You’ll say you are living your life the way you want it to be
But if you have a habit you aren’t free
The drugs will take control over you
Make you do things that before you would never do
I do drugs too but I’m in control
Drugs will not be the price for my soul
When I was young, drugs did control my life
The price I paid then was my daughter and wife
But since then I’ve learned my lessen
I feel I must make this confession
My life has never been drug free
But at least I am still control of me
Maybe some day I won’t need this escape from reality
But until life is that good, a drugie I’ll be.
