I don’t understand why you did me this way.
Tell me what is the game you play.
Doesn’t anyone matter at all to you?
I’m so confused, I don’t know what to do.
I thought I meant a little more.
Than just a scam so you could score.
But scam me is exactly the right word.
You conned me and away you flew, just like a bird.
So now I’m left with this emptiness, deep inside.
You not only took my passions, you took away my pride.
So tell me what I’m supposed to do,
cause even after that I’m still in love with you.
So tell me. Was it always just a game?
If it was, I’ll tell you that was pretty lame.
I guess I’ve been a fool before.
More than anyone else, you’ve hurt me more.
I thought this was special, this thing we had.
Knowing it wasn’t hurts me so bad.
I feel like the worlds biggest fool.
But I guess I deserved it, I broke my number 1 rule.
Never give a sucker an even break,
and don’t trust anyone, just for love’s sake.
Cause they will hurt you if you give them a chance.
There’s no such thing as true romance.
