As Red sits in his pawn shop the beautiful pale skinned beauty walks in with to men finely dressed behind her. They diffidently didn’t belong in Red Hill. She approached the counter where he sat behind the bullet proof glass
Red looks her up and down “you lost? this doesn’t look like to place for you”
“Oh I am in the right place.” she turned to her men one stepping outside the other locking the door and flipping the sign to close
“Can we speak privately?”
“So that’s what we are doing.” Red grins and shows sharpened teeth “this way”
Red opens a door to his left allowing her past the glass “you here to buy or sell?”
Red leads her to a back office, her movements graceful, from her view behind him you would think he’s smoking, if it weren’t for the absence of a cigarette
“I am here on behalf of a business acquaintance you have, He runs the Nox.” She states.
Red frowns. “Lucius? What does he want?”
Camilla nods
“He doesn’t always tell me everything but I have my guesses.” Camilla takes an parchment envelope sealed with wax and presents it to him
Red opens it and reads it over, “a meeting at The Nox.”
Red sniffs ”I don’t like that hole, smells like blood and death, but…It looks like business may be in order”
Camilla shrugs. “Most say it smells like sweaty bodies and lust.”
“Most don’t have a nose like mine”
Camilla nods. “this is true and Lucius only deals with the very unique.”
Red chuckles. “I am that, but not as unique as one may think. Tell Lucius i will be attending this meeting”
Camilla smiles. “I look forward to seeing you there.”
Red nods “Keep those thugs or yours close”
Camilla pauses for a moment. “He requested to bring them along, though I really don’t see why.”
Red scowls “Some of the undesirables have been trying to move into the area, they would make quick work of a pretty face like yours and if you want some extra protection I can find you something.”
Camilla gives him a wink. “Such a sweet offer but I am sure his guards will die before letting any harm come to me.”
Red shrugs “Suit yourself”
Camilla nods. “thank you again.”
Camilla heads back the way she came. “Don’t be late. It tends to irritate him.”
Red rolls his eyes and grunts “I will arrive precisely when I mean to”
Camilla walks to the guard who flips the sign and unlocks the door and she exits
Red watches her leave before scratching his beard and returning to the counter
Red groans seeing a couple of Irishmen eyeing his shop. “Fucking humans.”
