Hot Trail

I can feel your lovin’ right to my soul
I know it’s lovin’ because my heart tells me so
I’m following this trail because it’s so divine,
That it makes my body tremble cause lovin’ is so
hard to find
I asked some friends What they knew about you,
They said “You are sweet, cool lovable and you were true”
I’m on your trail cause your lips are of sweet cherry wine,
You make me want to dance and make my face shine
I can feel the heat of your presence, heat up my heart,
You give the meaning of love one hell of a jump-start
When you’re talking to others you have this special stance,
And I’m on your trail cause I loved you at first glance
You have this aura about you that says your fancy free,
That’s what I’m looking for, cause that’s like me
You walk over to the window and smell the country air,
I asked, “If you minded me standing here” you said,
” I don’t care”
We talked about this and that but mainly about life,
I was told of pain that cut like a knife
We shared the same feelings by the things that were said,
As if the inside of us were really dead
When things stared winding down we took a walk,
Looked into each others eyes as we talked
At one moment I asked, “What is your wish and could
wish the dream to come true?”
You said, ” I would wish for love, companionship as I
feel, when I’m with you.”
