Black Magic

Black Magic
by Anthony Holcomb

I’ve been scarred by a life,
That’s been made on empty promises.
Where the words are spoken with passion,
But the deeds leave me in dissatisfaction…

How can such a beautiful angel,
Be nothing but an empty shell.
Can her image before me,
Be nothing but a memorizing spell…

So I’ll ask you this,
My lovely angel…

How can something that felt so real,
Just disappear in a flash.
Was it some kind of black magic,
That tore this heart in two…

No my Angel,
It was you…
