Description:
A bit shorter than six feet, Garfield is nevertheless thickly built, muscle from his football days having managed to mostly stay in tact. Blonde hair cut short sits on his head, and he generally keeps his face clean shaven.
BACKGROUND
Garfield was an all American youth, born with apple pie running through his veins and patriotism for a soul. Blonde and Blue eyed, quarterback of his football team, and, like so many in life, just not quite good enough to go pro. After four useless years of college, life started, and like for many in his situation, it hit hard. Luckily, he was blessed quickly with a pretty young wife, and soon after, a son, but that only increased the financial struggle. For years, he worked in a factory, sometimes cleaning, sometimes working on the assembly line, but never smart enough to rise up any further in the company. At twenty-seven, when his son was four years old, he experienced something a bit rare- a rather late awakening of supernatural characteristics. Perhaps it was something in the factory, or something in his genes, he simply didn’t know. But what he does know is that his power is a gift, and thanks to the education of movies, a responsibility-influenced by superheros on the big screen, he made himself a costume, and began working as a vigilante in his spare time, which was very little.
POWERS/TACTICS
His body is completely the consistency of a material similar to rubber in many ways, and different in others. Capable of stretching extreme distances, bending wildly, and very resistant to physical damage, it is also quite easily damaged in extreme temperatures, stiffening to the point of ripping in cold, or nearly melting in high heat.
PERSONALITY/MOTIVATION
Garfield wants to use his gifts to bring some good into the world, and he is rather physically minded, so that generally entails beating up ‘the badguys’ wherever he finds them. The undercover police force program offered him an opportunity to legalize his pursuits, while also giving him a better steady income than factory work, though he of course hides the details from his family.
CAMPAIGN USE
Garfield, in his persona as Rubbermand, is mostly a fighter-willing to tussle with whatever enemies he comes across. A bit older than most gang members, and the wrong personality and skin color for many, his infiltration skills are rather lacking.
