I can still taste
Her sweet lips.
I can still sense
Their bitter sweetness…
Why does her taste
Still linger in my mind?
When she’s locked away
Doing prison time…
She’s not locked away
In some castle.
She’s locked away
In a cell…
Why can’t I just slay the dragon,
And carry her off to our story book ending?
Instead I’ll have to wait her release,
Before we can live out our happy ending…
