Background/History:  He had only been a demon for 50 years before he was summoned and imprisoned by cultists to use his blood in rituals. This continued for over 75 years until a paladin group destroyed the cultists and they found him, and as he was already weakened on the brink of death he was easier to capture instead of send back to hell to respawn, though they didn’t know he was kill able at that point in time. They sealed him in a gem that forced him to think about his deeds for 100 years, and he has been released within the past 6 months after accepting a path towards redemption. He doesn’t join the vigilante group because they have less regard for individual feelings and more care about what they can do little by little, with not a good view of the big picture.

Personality/Motivation:  While attempting to earn his wings, Mac is constantly forced to feel the pain of others around him in addition to being disavowed of using languages. If he does earn his wings he knows this part will be gone, but he worries it will drive him back to evil if he cannot feel the emotions. As he works towards it, he avoids contact with other demons as they will attempt to lure him back to vileness. He works with the police becuase they are the closest thing to righteous angels that he will find.
