From hell and back<\/strong><\/p>\n

>Been playing Champions system, HERO 5e<\/p>\n

>Been playing for about 6 months.<\/p>\n

>Me, low powered demon on path to redemption. US Marshal, trying to take care of different crimes.<\/p>\n

>Have human form of homeless old guy, often go to missions as a decoy and reconnaissance.<\/p>\n

>Been doing a solo with the DM, trying to catch up for lost points.<\/p>\n

>DM says I have downtime, gives me some events going on.<\/p>\n

>Go to baseball game in disguise, put on a gallon of cologne to mask sulfur smell.<\/p>\n

>Buy a beer, get in seat, watch as the fans cheer for the team wearing their colors.<\/p>\n

>Sports haven’t changed at all.<\/p>\n

>6th inning is over, both teams are in dugout, stadium is still close to filled.<\/p>\n

>Notice a brightly colored item dropping by parachute into the center of the field.<\/p>\n

>People start complaining the exits are chained shut.<\/p>\n

>Don’t have Danger Sense, but my common sense is tingling.<\/p>\n

>Jump the fence, flashing Marshal badge to security.<\/p>\n

>I get close look of the drop.<\/p>\n

>Countdown timer literally wrapped in the wires that make it tick, about the size of a large dog.<\/p>\n

>Roll a decent 8 on intelligence.<\/p>\n

>2 minutes on timer, bomb squad is 5 minutes away.<\/p>\n

>Roll a nat 3 for demolitions, know bomb will take out the entire stadium and nearby structures.<\/p>\n

>No time to get out of disguise.<\/p>\n

>Change form in the middle of stadium.<\/p>\n

>Everyone sees this old man grow great dark wings of fire, grab the parachute cords, and fly up with the wire bound bomb.<\/p>\n

>Flying straight up for one minute.<\/p>\n

>Bomb goes off at 1 minute timer.<\/p>\n

>Evil has no standards, should’ve bought x4 non-combat movement.<\/p>\n

>DM describes a bright flash of light, and then a continued stream of brighter light<\/p>\n

>It lasts for minutes, character opens his eyes and looks around.<\/p>\n

>Lots of white nothing, I’m floating in white space.<\/p>\n

>See grandiose multi-winged figure approaching.<\/p>\n

>Before I can get a good look, it speaks a word and I feel myself plummeting to the ground, land with a jolt.<\/p>\n

> I’m awake.<\/p>\n

>In secret base in my chambers, looking at the ceiling.<\/p>\n

>Whole body in bandages, but nothing hurts.<\/p>\n

>Try and move.<\/p>\n

>Bandages fall away to reveal softly glowing human flesh.<\/p>\n

>Stand up and look in the mirror.<\/p>\n

>Young body, perfect in almost every way.<\/p>\n

>See symbol of good is sort of sunburnt on my chest.<\/p>\n

>DM made me angel during a baseball game.<\/p>\n
