Lee<br \/>\n04\/13\/02<\/p>\n<p>I see the beauty in you,<br \/>\nYou are my strength, my dream, a love come true.<br \/>\nThan one day you said you had to go,<br \/>\nAnd without a warning my tears started to flow.<br \/>\nYou opened the door and walked down the street, than disappeared.<br \/>\nI stood there trembling in my own fear.<br \/>\nI sat there at the window with all the lights on.<br \/>\nAsking myself where the hell did I go wrong?<br \/>\nAfter awhile I went to bed and tried to sleep,<br \/>\nBut all I could do was lay there and weep.<br \/>\nIt was early in the morning I thought I heard your steps in the house.<br \/>\nSo I got up and searched but it was quiet as a church mouse.<br \/>\nI stood there at the door feeling the fresh air,<br \/>\nWishing to god you were here, to prove that I really care.<br \/>\nI was going to look for you just about noon,<br \/>\nBut I said, &#8220;No I think my babe will be back soon.&#8221;<br \/>\nI waited and waited for a day or two,<br \/>\nAs I kept yelling out the door &#8220;Baby, I love YOU!&#8221;<br \/>\nMy voice seemed to travel for miles away,<br \/>\nAs I sat here waiting for you day by day.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m holding on to fading love, because I love you that much.<br \/>\nYou were my love, my happiness, more then a special touch.<br \/>\nI will sit here at the window hopping you will again appear,<br \/>\nThan I can stop trembling in my worst fear.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Holding On To Fading Love by Richard R.
