Why Can&#8217;t I Choose?<br \/>\nTo do something more, than this drug I abuse.<br \/>\nStuck at a stand still, while life passes me by.<br \/>\nYet I just can&#8217;t get my fill, of injecting this high!<br \/>\nHigh?! Now that&#8217;s a contradiction in terms.<br \/>\nSince ending up low, is where I seem to hold firm.<br \/>\nAnd guilt, Oh my God! Is so damned intense!<br \/>\nIf this conscience was cash, it&#8217;d add up to three cents.<br \/>\nThe lie, the deceit, the mistrust that I&#8217;ve caused&#8230;<br \/>\nMy friends equal null, for my friends I&#8217;ve since lost.<br \/>\nWhy? Well hell, I gave them all up for dope.<br \/>\nFigured, &#8220;Who needs friends!With a syringe I can cope.&#8221;<br \/>\nI know, this was stupid, never once looking up.<br \/>\nToo damned busy, drawing water, for a hit from my cup!<br \/>\nOnce I&#8217;m through-I do- look up, take in my surrounds and see..<br \/>\nSurprisingly, nobody want to be around me!<br \/>\nNow I ask, &#8220;Is this how anybody should live?&#8221;<br \/>\nIf this be my fight, Well Uncle, I give!<br \/>\nNow I&#8217;ll apologize, for assuming,<br \/>\nthe answer to my questions you&#8217;d bring&#8230;<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s time I take a look in the mirror&#8230;<br \/>\nAnd ask myself the same thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Choose to Change by Martin Scott Matyear IV Why can&#8217;t I change?
