The farmer agreed to deliver<br \/>\nthe mule the next day. The next day, the farmer drove up and<br \/>\nsaid, &#8220;Sorry, but I have some bad news. The donkey died.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, then, just give me my money back.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Can&#8217;t do that. I went and spent it already.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;OK, then. Just unload the donkey.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What ya gonna do with him?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m going to raffle him off.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You can&#8217;t raffle off a dead donkey!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sure I can. Watch me. I just won&#8217;t tell anybody he&#8217;s dead.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A month later the farmer met up with the city boy and asked,<br \/>\n&#8220;What happened with that dead donkey?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I raffled him off. I sold 500 hundred tickets at two<br \/>\ndollars apiece and made a profit of $898.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Didn&#8217;t anyone complain?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just the guy who won.
