Dear grandma<\/p>\n
It was in an empty warehouse we went. It was bare with only one light and a long folding table and folding chairs set up for us to gather around. There sat a woman of professional demeanor, her black hair secured in a serve bun, her lips painted in a red that was far to dark for her light completion. She had her laptop up and running as we each arrived. I watched from the shadows, it wasn\u2019t like grandpa\u2019s, it wasn\u2019t an established based or group.<\/p>\n
The gathering wasn\u2019t complete, two of its \u201cmembers\u201d where already out and working on a mystery. Enforcer was the first to arrive. How do you describe him. His costume was dark blue and black, his mask covered all but his lips and his eyes with lens covered, he carried a tool belt and a very impressive shield. When you looked at him you couldn\u2019t help but think of the comic book hero\u2019s people wanted us to be. His stance, his look and even the way he spoke were that of an all American hero. Next came Mercury, not quite sure what he is, one second a man, the next a woman, than a chair. He was flippant, self assured, over confident and defiantly sent red flags but I could see why he was picked. Sonny on the other hand was far from that. He was a shining and I do mean glowing, example of non conformance. He seemed more than willing to argue and complain but he showed up for the meeting. Minds eye looked like something from another world, he was half man and half dragon. I feel so sorry for him to be cursed being half dragon but at least his human side gave him the ability to join what seems to be a worthy cause. I entered as this machine stomped in. I am pretty sure it\u2019s female and she calls herself ball buster. I entered in my sand form of course and they know me as Sandy. I didn\u2019t even want them to know me as Jay, that is to personal for me to let out. I doubt I will share my true identity with them since it is obvious they have no trust to share theirs.<\/p>\n
I know how I was asked to the meeting and I am sure the others have just as colorful requests as I did but I think it would have made my mother proud in my choice. Enforcer is our leader, the woman with the laptop made that clear. She was obviously a normal. She only represented the backers of our group. All finances and requests would have to go thorough Enforcer. We each get a housing allowance and pay for our time. We are not to interfere with the local law and routine disturbances, as we are not law enforcement but a special independent investigation team. According to her we have legal power equal to a U.S. marshal, and are allowed to defend our self and others with brute force if needed. I half way want to call grandpa to check into it but right now I don\u2019t want the rest to know the level of my resources. In fact I have taken on an air head persona in order for them not to find out what I am really about. Mercury seems to want to pry into the more personal levels of the members\u2019 life, he makes me nervous. I don\u2019t like people prying into my personal affairs.<\/p>\n
We where called into action, almost immediately, to go find and aid the two that had not attended the meeting. Seems Genocide decided to try and make a base on the Indian reservation. The place was using the local Indians as slave labor in setting up, their secret operations. What they didn\u2019t take in consideration was the Protector of his people Kuruk. He was one of the two that had gone to investigate. I heard stories about him ever since I arrived in Phoenix but to actual meet the mammoth would have intimidated any one, well any one but me. After all I was raised with his type.<\/p>\n
For my first mission I think I did well though, we captured the plant released the prisoners but most of the creeps that were running the place escaped. It\u2019s better that way since we don\u2019t have any way to hold them yet, but they do get to go home and give there boss a nice message from us.<\/p>\n
For now we will be meeting at the warehouse but they have put my abilities to a HUGE test. They had me sink the genocide base into the sand, for later construction for our use. Kuruk has already had it cleared with his people to allow us to be there, as long as Kuruk endorses us. I would give you more details but you know how it is, everything is hush hush.<\/p>\n
There are so many details that need to be worked out, so many unanswered questions but it seems to be on the up and up. So I will be chasing ghost stories, missing person and weird phenomena till I figure out what is really going on or if this is really what it seems to be.<\/p>\n
